You will find this small island at the foot of South Uist, it is accessable only by a causeway, The colour of the water is amazing as you cross over to Eriskay.
This is a sparce and tiny community and you actually wonder how they all exist on an island that has as far as we could see, no industry apart from a couple of small fishing boats. We take so much for granted on the mainland as far as banks, shops and the luxuries in life we have come accustomed too. Spare a thought for these people that also belong to the British Isles but have to pay very heavily for there way of life.
Here you can catch a ferry to Barra which is to the south of Eriskay, unfortunately on this trip we were pushing for time but hope in the not too distant future to return and visit Barra as well.
