When you turn off the main road at Pitlochry and head towards Kinloch Rannoch you pass the Queens View at Loch Tummel and it is a sight well worth seeing.
The road goes all the way to Rannoch Station and is as picturesque as you will get, when you reach Rannoch Station you get tremendous views looking accross Rannoch Moor towards Glencoe. Although the mountains are far in the distance it is a brilliant view and you have an idea of just how barren this area really is.
We are very fond of this region as it is steeped in Scottish history and you are very close to a lot of places to visit in Perthshire including Aberfeldy, Blair Atholl and Killicrankie.

We can suggest a great Scottish Welcome at "The Gardens" Dunalastair Bed & Breakfast, which is just outside Kinloch Rannoch. The proprietors Jim & Tina Wilson are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet. The experience we encountered here was second to none and you come away with the feeling that you h ave met two new real friends.
