Loch Lubnaig is part of the Trossachs National Park, and is an ideal place for a picnic on the shores owing to the great parking areas around the loch.
Although the road alongside the loch is very busy the parking areas are really big and you can comfortably have a lot of space round the shores to fish or just sit and admire the scenery.
This is a really beautiful part of Scotland and you have the towns of Callender and Aberfoyle close by. The whole area is steeped in history and you will find just down the road the grave of Rob Roy and of course the Rob Roy centre in Callender.
