Rannoch Moor is an area of over 50 square miles which lies to the east of Glencoe. The moor is peppered with a multitude of Lochans amidst the peat bogs and bare rock. The moor lies at over 1,000 ft above sea level making it one of the most desolate places in the British Isles. One thing about Rannoch whatever the weather it always makes an impact on the visitor.
Rannoch Moor is an absolutely beautiful and quiet place, as you cross over the Moor you see the hills of Glencoe in the distance.
The scenery is bewildering !
